Tailored vest in dupioni silk
Prada • Spring-Summer 1995
-
From their iconic “Vela” backpacks first introduced in 1984, Prada’s signature black nylon fabric made its way onto the ready-to-wear for their Spring/Summer 1995 collection.
Nylon blazers, skirts, and dresses—unexpected yet innovative for the time—were showcased alongside more classic tailoring pieces. Among these was a fitted silk waistcoat worn by Shalom Harlow on the runway
Cut in grey dupioni, a crisp silk fabric with a slubbed texture and a subdued luster, this piece is tailored with a slightly sculpted collar, a darted bust, and a cinched waist, ensuring a close fit on the body. Concealed along the seams are side pockets.
