A suit worn with fur-lined sandals opened Céline’s Spring/Summer 2013 show, setting the tone for the collection’s refined yet laid-back offering for the season.
Worn with a single-breasted jacket on the runway were these tailored trousers, cut cropped and to a slight flare—a relaxed proposition to suiting. Crafted in black technical silk blend, the trousers feature horizontal panels on the legs that seem to subtly hint at an approach of alteration: a pair of capris appear to be appended with bands of fabric to create a longer, subtly flared pant.
