Céline employs some simple reworking on this tailored suit made of light wool gabardine to achieve functional simplicity.
The jacket's peak lapels are flipped inward and sewn into the interior lining to create the jacket’s streamlined collarless front. This simultaneously reveals the wool-felt undercollar, which now serves as the jacket's collar—a clever approach that results in an irreverently minimalist piece of tailoring.
An otherwise traditional pair of straight-leg trousers is elevated through the addition of two long self-tie belts in leather for an easy touch of practicality.
The topstitched belts, made of featherweight lambskin leather, are attached underneath belt loops on the sides. They are cut long enough to be wrapped doubly around the waist if you prefer a more classic look.
