Prada's forward-thinking minimalism for the FW 1998 season is showcased through the use of industrial materials such as plastic, silicone, and photographic film.

For this wool gabardine jacket shown on the runway, a somewhat similar approach is taken for the closures: the seemingly buttonless front and cuffs conceal magnets within the placket, discreetly indicated by black thread bars. The interior is lined with a silky black rayon fabric.
