A series of relaxed tailoring looks paired with fur-lined sandals opened Céline’s Spring/Summer 2013 show, setting the tone for the collection’s refined yet laid-back offering for the season.
On Look 3, worn with a tailored sleeveless jacket were these cropped trousers cut to a slight flare. Crafted in black technical silk blend, the trousers feature legs with horizontal panels in wool-silk and silk satin. This seems to subtly hint at an approach of alteration: a pair of capris appear to be appended with bands of other tonal fabrics to fashion a longer, subtly flared pair of trousers with subtly contrasting pant legs.
